Senior SQL Server Engineer
DB Best is looking for an experienced SQL Server Engineer who has a deep knowledge of the SQL Server platform in production and development environments. This is a great opportunity to get exposed to multiple customers across the globe and work with our world class team of database professionals across Israel, US and Europe. You’ll be driving projects on the edge of Cloud adoption, database operations and modernization, helping customers to deal with complex problems in the Data Management space. This job requires a lot of customer interaction and leadership skills.
The candidate should have a following experience and qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working with SQL Server
- Prior consulting experience and great communication skills
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server’s internal storage system and transactional engine
- Experience with SQL HA/DR technologies
- Experience managing large SQL Server environments
- Experience troubleshooting SQL and OS performance issues and errors using all available resources
- Experience designing database environments from the storage to the index level
- Experience working with other components of SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, etc.) – a plus
- Experience managing storage and VMs – a plus
- Knowledge of modern Clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP) – a plus
- Experience with other database engines – a plus
- Fluency in Hebrew and English is required, knowledge of Russian is a plus
