News: DB Best releases a new version of Database Compare Suite with Greenplum support

DB Best announces the release of Database Compare Suite version 4.7 that now includes support for Pivotal Greenplum versions 4.3.8.0 and higher.

The support of Greenplum brings the total count of database platforms in the Database Compare Suite tool to the general quantity of 10. They include Amazon Redshift, Azure SQL Database, Greenplum, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Sybase ASE and Teradata. Thus, you can use 55 database pairs for homogeneous and heterogeneous operations, such as schema and data migration, synchronization and comparison, as well as fast data comparison for data warehouses.

Besides the Greenplum support, we have some other cool features in this release.

We have upgraded the installer of the application. Database Compare Suite now requires only Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1. You no longer need to have .NET Framework 3.5 to complete the installation Database Compare Suite.

We’ve included minor changes to the matching page to improve usability.

In the previous versions, we set up the matching preferences in an awkward drop-down list. We switched to the much more convenient pop-up window. This simplifies setting up all the manual steps for matching, comparing, migrating, and synchronization database objects and data.
