Explore the endless opportunities now with Vertica Analytics Platform support
With Database Compare Suite you can connect to 14 various database platforms. The full list of supported database platforms includes Amazon Redshift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure SQL Database, Greenplum, IBM DB2, IBM Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, Teradata, and Vertica.
After you establish the connection to the source and target databases, you can compare data, schema, and even database settings. For large data volumes, such as data warehouse tables, you can use the unique Fast Data Comparison operation. It compares the hash values of the tables, delivering the results in just a blink of an eye.
Moreover, you can migrate data from source to target database objects in Database Compare Suite. You may opt for a straight move of the data or choose a more complicated synchronization operation. In addition, you can migrate database schemas. You can even execute SQL statements inside the Database Compare Suite application. So, you don’t need to switch to the database management tool, keeping it all under control inside one app!
Functional innovations
Detailed data comparison became even more evident. That’s because now you can explore the differences in details for every row. Simply double click on the selected row to open the window with the detailed row comparison results.
Flex tables, projections, and text indexes may affect the results of comparison operation or even cause an error during the data migration. So, in the latest release of Database Compare Suite, you can exclude these database objects from schema comparison and synchronization operations.
