Key Features and Technologies Used
For this project we used Android SDK, Google Maps Android API, Bing SDK, and our client’s API.
The app uses Google Maps to track and view the position of the vehicle using the GPS functionality. User authorization is implemented with access key validating the key with user data on the client’s server. Reverse geocoding is available on the vehicle details screen. For better user experience, our Android development team also created auto-centering of the moving vehicle on the map and impressive Street View capabilities. The Microsoft Virtual Earth Maps version is also developed an option to Google Maps for the app with the help of Bing Maps SDK.
