News: DB Best Releases a new version of Database Compare Suite with Netezza support

DB Best announces the release of Database Compare Suite version 4.8 that now includes support for IBM Netezza versions 7.2.1 and higher.

We continue covering data warehouses support and expanding the specific features related to them. With the support of Netezza, the total count of available database platforms in the Database Compare Suite increased to 11. They include Amazon Redshift, Azure SQL Database, Greenplum, IBM DB2, IBM Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Sybase ASE and Teradata.

This brings us to the total of 55 heterogeneous database pairs and 11 homogeneous options. That totals to an impressive number of 66 database pairs available for such operations as schema and data migration, synchronization and comparison, as well as Fast Data Comparison — a really handy operation for data warehouses.

New features of Database Compare Suite 4.8

Besides the Netezza support, we have rolled out some other awesome features in this release. We updated the list of column types that you cannot use as a part of the sorting key. Also, we’ve added a new object type for schema comparison and synchronization operations. Now you can either include or exclude shared libraries from the operation.

In addition, we improved the support of real numbers and large integers in the Fast Data Comparison operation. Finally, we implemented the full-fledged support of negative intervals.
